engineering services planning :: About Us

Engineering Services Planning (ESP) was formed in 2004 by Cliff Walker, initially to break into the freelance M&E planning sector. Now into his fourth successful year Cliff is offering his combined 20-year project management experience and planning expertise to project management and construction companies as a support facility on an interim or assignment basis.

 

ESP has carried out project planning & monitoring for contractors on Wembley Stadium and the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. They have also carried out forensic investigation and analysis work for High-Point Rendel and Canary Wharf Contractors Ltd.

 

Cliff Walker comes from an mechanical and electrical engineering contracting background and worked for How Engineering from 1988 to 1997 as the electrical project manager on a number of contracts in the commercial office development (shell & core/fit-out), shopping centre and residential sectors.

 

In 1997 Cliff moved from project management to become a planner, whereby up until 2000 he worked on a high rise residential project and the ExCel Centre at Becton. In addition to project planning & monitoring he created cause and effect schedules for an EOT/delay and disruption claim.

 

From 2000 to 2004 Cliff was employed by Canary Wharf Contractors Ltd as the sole M&E planner for the high rise office block developments on the Canary Wharf estate.
